La plata county food systems & health Equity coalition

The La Plata County Food System & Health Equity Coalition is working to advance equity within our food system by increasing  equitable participation & voices of our BIPOC, senior, geographically isolated, low income, and disabled residents within our food system, increasing access to healthy, affordable food, and ensuring that community Food Assistance organizations are informed by and aligned with our community’s diverse needs. We have received a two year grant to launch community-led efforts to achieve these outcomes and are currently seeking Workgroup Facilitators eager to engage in our work to advance an equitable, secure food system for all La Plata County residents.
