Fall Sweet Treats Community Glean

Join us for this special glean as we share recipes, baking tips, and sweet Fall treats! Collect all the apples and pears you need to make that delicious dessert you've been craving! 

Reduce food waste, save bears, and feed community by harvesting fruit! Our region has an abundance of fruit trees, which often produce more than property owners can handle! Come on out with our team to learn how to get involved with our community gleaning program. In addition to actually harvesting until our bellies are overly filled, we will introduce you to our Community Fruit Tree Gleaning Database, basic techiques & equipment, as well as, ways to donate your excess harvests to decrease food security in our region. Did we mention, eating fruit!?! Yep, LOTS of fruit.

Kids are welcome to join; this is a family friendly event! But, please only RSVP with the number of active harvesters so as to not fill up spots unnecessarily! This also helps us to know how much equiptment to bring! As a reminder, adults/guardians are responsible for the safety of their kids.

Once you RSVP to the event, we will send you an email with the harvest site's address and other details so that you can meet us at the property! Come prepared with water, close-toed shoes, sunscreen, and a bag to take any fruit home with you. HAPPY HARVEST SEASON
